Have an old t-shirt lying around? Why not repurpose it into a thing of beauty--like a DIY macrame plant hanger? Here's how you can do this in a few easy steps!
What You'll Need:
A ruler
A marker/white fabric chalk (optional)
Scissors
An old t-shirt
A small potted plant
Let's Get Started!
Lay the t-shirt flat and cut eight strips of fabric lengthwise. If you want to be a bit more precise, you can use white fabric chalk or a marker (depending on the colour of the t-shirt) to mark out the lines before you cut them. Try to ensure that each strip of fabric is approximately the same width (about 1.5 inches wide) and length.
2) Take the ends of the fabric and tie them into a knot.
3) Lay out the strips of fabric and divide them into sets of two. Knot each set together about two inches from the top.
4) After making the first two knots, make knots from the second and third, fourth and fifth, and sixth and seventh strips, about 1.5 inches from the first couple of knots.
5) Tie another knot at the end and then slot your plant inside and hang it up!
