Gone are the days when only a condo could be glamorous or stylish, now owners of HDB flats are upping the ante and creating stunning interiors that would make anyone jealous. Here are just a few of our favourites!
Mid-Century Modern
Anchorvale Link
Low lines, warm timber and touches of rich colour give a Mid-Century Modern feel to this renovated HDB apartment at Anchorvale Link. The clean lines of the living area with its marble-textured feature wall create the perfect space for some major pieces of designer furniture including the iconic Le Corbusier LC4 chaise lounge in black and chrome. The kitchen area can be closed off via a clear glass floor-to-ceiling door with an almost industrial feel that allows the elegant timber-look finishes in grey to echo the feature wall. Moving into the master bedroom, the textured feature wall concept continues, as does the use of the same flooring that travels throughout the apartment. The use of similar materials is a handy design tip to create consistency and a sense of flow. These more neutral materials also create a great backdrop for the addition of rich purple bedding on the low-line bed and built-ins, continuing the Mid-Century Modern vibe.

Clean Lines and Contemporary Style
Balmoral Point
The contemporary lines of this renovated apartment highlight the split-level floor design while also helping to demarcate spaces for different activities. Using a combination of warm timber tones and crisp white, the overall feel is soothing and chill. We love the open air feeling of the central dining area that fills in the space without looking too packed--and how stylish is the under-stair chill-out space? Rich textures like rugs and throws, sculptural lighting and elegant orchids add to the overall glam feel of this clean-lined contemporary space.

Blindingly White Bling
Trillium
This amazingly renovated apartment looks like something out of a futuristic luxury fashion boutique, don’t you think? The clear blue-white brightness of the specialised lighting features combined with blindingly white walls, stunning skyline views and super shiny chrome metal details is a package that screams glamour. We adore the way the overall concept has been continued throughout the entire space; even the bedroom looks like a boutique showroom with its back-lit spaces for shoes and mirrored walls.

Oriental Elegance
Orchard Court
A simple background has become the perfect frame for a collection of exotic, elegant oriental furniture in this renovated Orchard Court apartment. A massive feature panel of striped marble, lit with backlights and framed with black creates a fabulous focus for a stunning antique console positioned perfectly for watching television. Layered over the marble floor is an interesting floor covering made of multiple hide squares that create pattern and texture and continues the focus point of the room. At the end of the living space, pieces of elegant Chinese furniture are positioned to be viewed as artworks with the light of the window highlighting the detailed carvings. A beautiful antique lamp is matched by the pendants hanging over the timber dining table that faces the open kitchen area; that same elegant lamp is also a featured item in the master dressing room, echoing the elegant mix of oriental elegance with modern design that is a hallmark of the whole apartment.

Using luxurious materials, mirrors galore and highly detailed finishes, the interior designer has created a deeply sophisticated space that still feels warm and indulgent. The entire apartment from the entryway to the bathrooms has the vibe of a six-star hotel suite while still allowing the homeowners to live comfortably.
