So Christmas is just a month away...and we've scoured the Internet for the best, Crazy Rich Asian-esque gadgets and home appliances you can get for your home, whether it's a luxury hairdryer, a splurge on a TV so you can Netflix your weekends away, or an indulgent espresso machine... and you might even get to win one or two of these! Read on to find out how!
1) KitchenAid Mixer
Perhaps the cult stand mixer that everyone loves, we recommend the KitchenAid mixer, that comes in a variety of hues so you can match your décor perfectly, or choose a bright one for a pop of colour in your home. We love the additional attachments (ingenious marketing, for sure) that helps you chop up everything , make pasta, ice cream, food grinder and grain mill so you can save valuable countertop space by using one machine.

Find it in Singapore: Courts, Best Denki, Gain City and other shops like ToTT and department stores like Robinsons, price S$629 and up.
2) Anova Precision Cooker
Get your food completely evenly cooked with a sous vide machine, where food is placed in a vacuum sealed bag and then cooked to a precise temperature in a water bath. It works great for cooking steaks--you can finish it on the grill for a crispy edge--salmon and other meats, but isn’t just limited to that. The Anova Precision Cooker can also make perfect butter poached potatoes, crème brùlée cheesecake, ‘cold’ brew coffee and chicken curry.
With the Wi-Fi enabled, you could even start dinner while on the way home from work, and come home to culinary perfection.

3)Dyson Vacuum V10
The latest addition to the slew of cordless stick vacuums--meaning you don't need to keep plugging and unplugging your vacuum into the different outlets around your house like we once had to do--Dyson V10 weighs about 2.7kg, and works well on carpets, and floors, with a maximum battery time of 60 minutes (using the crevice and brush tools), and can also reach ceilings and harder-to-reach places, making cleaning your home much easier.

4) LG Styler
Resembling a sleeker version of a fridge, the LG Styler closet aims to reduce allergens, eliminate wrinkles and odours from clothes like winter jackets, and generally function as an alternative to sending your clothes to the dry cleaners. Beloved stuffed toys and pillows can also be put inside the Styler to be cleaned, while wrinkles from suit jackets, shirts and pants are less noticeable.

5) Le Creuset
These colourful, cast iron French Ovens (usually in red, blue and yellow, but other options also include cobalt blue, turquoise and purple) add aesthetic beauty to your kitchen, much like the KitchenAid mixer, and are suitable for cooking on most surfaces, including the induction hobs that are so much easier to clean than the gas stoves--in our humble opinion, anyway. Its excellent heat distribution and retention ensures that all your food is cooked evenly, and kept warm even after the heat is turned off. These are great for cooking soups, stews, rice dishes and even for baking.

Their products also include a heart-shaped casserole pot, which is great as a wedding present, a skillet, tagine and grilling skillets to make your collection complete. They also often release limited edition colours like lavender or the more muted brown in the second picture below, which is exclusively sold at Sur La Table.

6) La Marzocco GS3 Coffee Machine
For ultimate excellence in coffee, try the La Marzocco GS3, that’s also great for use in small restaurants or boutique hotels. Using the same thermal stability system as in the La Marzocco Strada, that includes a pre-heating system, saturated groups (or gruppo saturo in Italian, hence GS), dual-boiler system to create a luxurious espresso preparation platform. The MP version also features a new conical mechanical paddle that controls the water flow and pressure internally, for a more balanced extraction. Custom part sets are also available.

7) Samsung Clear Touchscreen Fridge
You’ll always be able to tell what’s in your fridge, so you won’t need to over-buy groceries, or miss out expiration dates for your food. This is done via three interior cameras which take a photo of the contents of your fridge, and you can set expiration notifications so you can plan your meals. Using the Family Hub, everyone can add to your grocery list, so grocery shopping can be done efficiently at the supermarket--or you could just order using your fridge’s interface.
The bottom right fridge door can function either as a freezer or a fridge, depending on your requirements, with a Beer and Wine setting and an adjustable wine rack, so you have a wine cellar right in your fridge. Rounding up the list of the fridge’s many features is its ability to play any song you want and also to mirror a Samsung TV in your home so you can watch your favourite show while waiting for your food to be ready.

8) Definitive Technology BP9080x
For audiophiles or cinephiles who want the perfect sound system in your home, try the Definitive Technology BP9080x, which delivers crystal clear sound. Its passive design is complemented by an active subwoofer, so you’ll have complete control of the subwoofer volume for both towers. The midrange is full and clear, with great treble frequencies and clarity from the top to the bottom of the frequency range.

9) Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer
The ultimate indulgence for every girl, this pricey hair dryer sets itself apart from its competition with the new V9 digital motor, Dyson’s smallest, and its 13 impeller blades move 13 liters of air through a $1 coin’s diameter every second. The hairdryer also adopts the Air Multiplier technology from the brand’s bladeless fans to create a high-volume and high velocity stream of air.

This allows you to dry your hair faster--very useful when you have a head of super long hair--without any chance of scorching your hair or the hairdryer (no more burnt hair smell!). This is due to the glass bead thermistor that measures the temperature of the air exiting the dryer 20 times per second and the microprocessor regulates the temperature accordingly. Its ergonomic design places the weight in the handle rather than in the top part of the hair dryer, and lastly, it’s much quieter than other hair dryers.

10) Thermomix
We’ve featured a number of cooking appliances and accessories on this list, like the sous vide machine and the Le Creuset, but the granddaddy of them all has to be the Thermomix--which is also great if you’re short on countertop space, but want the very best in home-cooked spreads. It is a multifunctional machine that can weigh your ingredients, knead dough, boil soups, chop up your ingredients--no more tearing when chopping onions--whip cream, cook your food, blend, chop, stir, mix and grind, delivering perfect results every time.

It also comes with a guided instruction manual for a number of recipes, and all you really need is to follow along. The variety of meals you could make include breads, risottos, stews, soups, slow-cooked meats etc.
Find it in Singapore: Thermomix Singapore, S$2,320
11) Samsung 65 inch QLED Q9F 4K Smart TV
If you really wanted to splurge, the most expensive television in the world costs about S$3.1 million, and Samsung and LG just released 8K televisions...but perhaps the best rated television (by Tech Radar) currently is the 65-inch QLED Q9F 4K Smart TV. It can even blend in with the rest of your decor with the new Ambient mode, so you can either use their digitised images or upload yours so the television transforms into a painting or large picture.
Cables have been streamlined into just one that leads to the external connection box, which can be tucked away into your television console, alongside your other gaming consoles. The television can also connect with your other devices like the fridge below, and also reduce lag when you’re playing games down to 7ms. It also upscales HDR images into 4k images almost miraculously, with stunning blacks and gorgeous colours, where direct lighting and local dimming delivers peak brightness without sacrificing the darker parts of the picture.

Find it in Singapore: Harvey Norman, Courts, Best Denki and Gain City; price at S$11,439 for the 75-inch model, and S$7,919 for the 65-inch model.
12) Dyson Airwrap Styler
If you, like most Singaporean girls, have stick straight hair and long to have gorgeous curls, you might want to try the latest Dyson AirWrap Styler, which promises to style hair without the use of extreme heat. The complete package includes two 30mm AirWrap barrels, that you can use counterclockwise or clockwise, a smoothing brush, a round voluminising brush, pre-styling dryer, and these are powered by a V9 motor that spins up to 110,000rpm, to create the Coanda effect, and helps to effortlessly curl your hair.
